A Trainee Legal Costs Draftsman and Negotiator role within our Cost Department to enable maximum profit costs recovery.

This role will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge within a supportive and experienced team.

Working Hours: Monday – Friday (9:00-5:00).

Job Description

You will be responsible for drafting and negotiating Legal Costs Schedules/Bills with the aim of ensuring maximum recovery of Legal Fees and Disbursements. You will also undertake training to become a Legal Costs Draftsman and Negotiator.

  • Preparing Schedules and Bills of Costs, to include Litigation Schedules such as Estimates and Statements of Costs for Trial/ Applications.
  • Negotiation of Legal Costs and Disbursements.
  • Issuing Part 7 and Part 8 Proceedings. 
  • Making Applications.
  • Liaising with Legal Teams.
  • To ensure you uphold the Core Values of Winn Group.
  • Any ad hoc or additional duties as deemed fit and appropriate by the Management Team for this post and the associated level of responsibility attached to it.
