Personal Injury Team Leader

A new opportunity has arisen for a Team Leader within the Official Injury Claim department of the First Response Team. This role holds responsibility for the day-to-day supervision and leadership within the OIC sub-team of the First Response Department.

You will support the OIC Legal Clerks to provide the best service and achieve departmental targets. Interact and engage with clients by providing support and advice for escalated matters and maintain an agreed caseload of OIC files.

Job Description

Your duties will include:

  • Monitor and support team members so that the departments procedures are followed and ensure the smooth running of the department.
  • Liaise with Department Managers, Team Leaders and Team Members to ensure Department Targets are met and strive to exceed the same.
  • Audit Handler accuracy/efficiency.
  • Allocation of workload to team members.
  • Ensure individual team member development and training needs are identified and addressed.
  • Maintain an agreed caseload of OIC files to ensure you understand current process and any relevant changes to process.
  • Ensure that Fee Earner performance issues are identified and addressed.
  • Deal with Escalations and Complaints.
  • Liaise with other departments within the Winn Group to resolve issues and ensure good cooperation.
  • Actively contribute towards Team Management meetings with suggestions for more efficient working within the team.
  • Ensure compliance with Information Security Policies including data confidentiality and the operational security of the Information Systems used.
  • To ensure you uphold the Core Values of the Winn Group.
  • Any ad hoc or additional duties as deemed fit and appropriate by the Management Team for this post and the associated level of responsibility attached to it.
