Megan, from Newbiggin Hall, recently joined Winn Solicitors on an apprenticeship in business administration. Here, she talks about her role within the company, and her ambitions for the future.
Why did you choose Winn Solicitors for your apprenticeship?
I picked Winn Solicitors for my apprenticeship because I heard so many good things about the company - there are great opportunities for progression.
What did you do prior to working at Winn Solicitors?
I previously had a job as a waitress in a pub, but this is my first job that I hope will grow into a career.
What does your role involve?
I’m responsible for gathering and sorting through all correspondence for Solicitors and Legal Clerks, as well as dealing with incoming faxes and some phone calls. I also spend time doing basic tasks on customers case files. Three times a week, I travel to court to deliver any urgent mail.
What’s the best thing about your apprenticeship?
I am thoroughly enjoying every aspect of my apprenticeship – the team is great and very supportive with new starters. I’m looking forward to the opportunities it will bring in the future.
What are your ambitions for the future?
In the future, I’d like to work my way up at Winns, or perhaps even do a law degree and become a Solicitor.
