Business Administration apprentices Keely Shannon and Ellie Winton are already moving up the career ladder after both were promoted within On Medical.
Both Keely and Ellie, who are still studying as part of their apprenticeships, are already getting stuck into various tasks and responsibilities that come with their new jobs.
“Working at On Medical is quite different from the post team,” explains Keely. “With the post team, we were mostly communicating internally, as well as carrying out different tasks around the office like organising the mail, doing court runs, making sure the office supplies were well stocked.
“In our new roles at On Medical, we are much more client-focused. As part of the rehabilitation admin team, we're talking to patients; organising physiotherapy, arranging appointments and providing updates.”
Ellie adds;
“We're still learning about our new roles. There's a lot to learn. Now we have our own files and workloads, so there's a lot more responsibility which is great.”
Not only will they finish the apprenticeship with a useful qualification to take on into their careers, but they will also have gained invaluable workplace experience.
For now, though, both Ellie and Keely are looking to achieve the Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship qualification.
On Medical Manager, Jacqueline Hall commented,
“We are very pleased to welcome Keely & Ellie onto the Rehab Admin Team and believe that they will both prove to be assets to the team.”
“I'd really recommend an apprenticeship, as it’s a really good way to get yourself involved and immersed in a business,” adds Keely. “It's opened my eyes to the different career paths available within the Winn Group, and turned out to be a great stepping stone for us both to get jobs at On Medical.”
