After hitting a milestone marker in her career, Rebecca Colby is eager to see what the future holds at Winn Group.

The Associate Director brings dedication and strong project management skills, along with an abundance of legal knowledge, to her role and it has certainly not gone unnoticed, with senior management well aware of the impact she’s had to date.

Clint Milnes, Winn Group Chief Operating Officer, said: “Over her 10 years, Rebecca has become an integral member of staff, playing a key part in the success of Winn Group.

“Rebecca has taken on several key roles in the organisation over her 10 years, aiding David Dewar in ‘Part 7’ during his early years in the organisation, overseeing, alongside Chris Cullingworth, the substantial growth of the Vehicle Damage Department and, more recently, promoted to the role of Associate Director and Head of the Post-Litigation Vehicle Damage Department.

“Rebecca has more than contributed to our success and deserves the career progression she has achieved throughout her 10 years.

“Her enthusiasm and dedication are clear for everyone to see and long may that continue for the next 10 years and beyond.”

Chris Birkett, Winn Group Chief Executive Officer, said: “Rebecca has played an important role in the development of the company and its continued expansion. I echo Clint’s sentiments and would like to express senior management’s appreciation of her continued outstanding efforts and contributions to the organisation.”

Now Associate Director and leading her own Vehicle Damage department, the Post-Litigation Head is enjoying the new challenges that have come with a promotion achieved within the last 12 months.

She said: “I’m relishing the creation and development of the VD Post-Litigation Team.

“We are working hard to get the staffing, training, and development where it needs to be. Thankfully, I have a great team around me!

“Since I joined Winns, I have been given so many opportunities to do work I enjoy and develop my skills as a lawyer, as well as learning more about the commercial side of the business.

“This has always kept me interested in the work and I enjoy being part of the progression of the business.

“On a day-to-day basis, the people are the main reason I’ve been here so long. I really feel the success of the business is in large part because of our staff – I have worked with so many wonderful people over the years.”

The change from 2014 to now at the company is substantial, with the organisation’s navigation of unprecedented challenges dominating.

Rebecca continued: “There are quite a few memories that stand out.

“We’ve weathered challenging times such as Covid and the constant reforms imposed by the government, but always worked to come out stronger and learn from those experiences.

“Moving to Vehicle Damage is probably my standout moment.

“As a team, we worked incredibly hard to build the department and become one of the strongest credit hire litigation teams in the UK; I am so proud of what we have achieved.

“At Winn Group, I think the world is our oyster. Our opportunities are what we make of them. We have a strong management team that are dedicated to the growth and development of the group.

“I cannot wait to see what the future holds.”
