Team Leader Promotion for Aspiring Kirandip

When Kirandip Sidhu joined Winn Group, she saw the potential for progression and career enhancement.

Keen to take on a leadership role, the Costs and Debt Recovery employee has worked hard, performed strongly against targets, and has now been rewarded for those efforts with promotion to a Team Leader role.

Rachel Glendenning, Head of Costs and Debt Recovery, said: “Since joining the team, Kirandip has performed well against her main KPIs and has shown her desire to lead a team.

“Kirandip is always willing to help and support new starters within the team, even though this is outside of her role, which has led to the team finding Kirandip approachable with any questions they may have. 

“All of this puts Kiran in good stead to go on and be a great Team Leader.”

Kirandip is looking forward to her new role and is eager to take on the new facets of this role.

“I enjoy supporting my colleagues and helping to drive positive results, so stepping into a leadership position was something I was eager to pursue.

“I want to continue developing my skills as a leader while contributing to the success of the team and the Group.

“I’m passionate about creating a supportive and efficient work environment where everyone can thrive, and I hope to play a key role in maintaining and improving our department’s performance.”

Kirandip concluded: "As a woman from a Panjabi background, I understand firsthand the challenges that can come with progressing in a role or in your career, especially in the legal corporate field, where there are still challenges for people from diverse backgrounds. 

"It’s not always easy to navigate cultural expectations and breaking down barriers that sometimes exist due to gender or background. It’s a reality that many women, especially from diverse backgrounds, face as they seek opportunities to advance in their careers.

"However, I’m very grateful that at Winn Group, I’ve never felt held back by my gender or background.

"I have felt valued and respected for who I am and what I bring to the team.
