Chris Cullingworth’s Winn Group career has passed the 20-year marker, joining an ever-increasing number of Winns employees who have achieved the milestone.

The Associate Director and Head of Vehicle Damage – Pre-Litigation has been with the company since 2005 and played an important role in the growth of the departments he worked in and led.

Chris Birkett, Winn Group Chief Executive Officer, said: “Congratulations to Chris Cullingworth, who has achieved the milestone of 20 years of service with Winn Group.

“Chris started out his journey in FNOL, which was actually called ‘Front End’ back then, has had a lengthy spell as Head of On Hire and oversaw the growth in hire work at a time when the business pivoted towards hire and repair work.

“Then came Head of Vehicle Damage and achieving Associate Director with the firm.

“His knowledge of the Group and its operations is invaluable to the business, and his involvement in recent years with Protocol agreements has paved the way to a new way of working with Insurers.”

When reflecting upon his journey at the company, which started with an interview with Jeff Winn for the role of Case Handler in FRT, Chris recognised that a few things have changed over the years.

He said: “We have always been market leading in the way that we have adapted and changed, which has put us ahead of the competition.

“This can only be achieved by having an adaptable and collaborative management team and great staff to support.

“I have always believed in the ambitions of the company, and I wanted to see where the journey would take me next.

“When I started, Winn had around 35 people employed, now we are over 700 and counting. The transformation has been amazing, and it is far from over.”

Chris was keen to thank those who have supported him over the last two decades.

He added: “I would like to thank Marta (Fernandez Varona), Chris (Birkett), Clint (Milnes), and Jeff (Winn) for their continued support and guidance over the years, along with the trust they have put in me to do my role.

“I would also like to thank Rebecca Colby for the six years we worked together in the VD team. This was an important time in the growth of Winns, and we both put a lot of blood, sweat, and tears into the department. 

“Finally, I would like to thank Frances Briggs, who now works as my deputy in the Pre-Litigation department. Frances has been a big help in a challenging period, and we have both put in a lot of hard work to get the team where they are now.”
