Beth

Level 3 Business Administration

Winn Group Apprenticeship start date: September 2018

My study and jobs before apprenticeship: I had just finished sixth form, doing English Language, English Literature and Psychology while working in a bar part time.

I chose to do an apprenticeship because: I didn’t want to go to university, but still wanted to study, so decided to do a business course as it could have different career paths.

I chose a Winn Group apprenticeship because: I liked the look of doing business and HR was appealing as it was something I had never thought of doing but I thought I would enjoy.

What I enjoy most about my Winn Group apprenticeship: Learning the different aspects of business and how HR is an integral function in a business.

The support I have received through my apprenticeship: My managers supported me by allowing me as much time as I needed to complete work and, if I had any questions or needed someone to proof read my work, they were always happy to.

My first role following the apprenticeship: I continued in the Group HR Administrator role after finishing my apprenticeship.

My career progression since then: I am now completing my CIPD course to progress within the HR Department.

My top tip for anyone considering doing an apprenticeship: Take the opportunity if you can, as it will give you the opportunity to learn whilst being in a working environment and it has given me the opportunity to know my future career path.
