Catherine Walker has continued her career progression at Winn Group by taking on the role of Deputy Head of the Portal Team.

With eight years at the company, Catherine began as a file handler, before qualifying as a Solicitor and becoming a supervisor in the Portal Department.

Her new role is something she is delighted to confirm, and she is now keen to develop her skills further to include management responsibilities.

Catherine said; “I am very pleased and feel it is a testament to the hard work I have put into the department and the contribution I have made to the business over the last eight years.

“I look forward to further developing my skills and working with other members of the management team. I really enjoy management and have developed this over the last five years as a team leader and supervisor.

“I like to make a difference and have enjoyed working on projects that affect the department as a whole, such as changing the process for reviewing medical reports and witness statements and sending these to the client by secure docs to make it more efficient.

“I plan to help the department become more efficient, ensuring that when reforms do come in, we are best placed to deal with them and can progress cases quickly.”

Associate Director – Head of Portal, Amy Graham said of the appointment; “Catherine was given the opportunity to work as a team leader within the portal department in 2016 and has proven to be indispensable.

“She has worked closely with IT and was instrumental in developing our portal processes which have improved performance within the department.

“Catherine is a dedicated individual who has an exceptional knowledge of credit hire, technical medical evidence and litigation. I am so pleased that she has accepted the position of Deputy Head of Portal and I look forward to working with her to move the department forward.”
