Winn Solicitors is very proud to be on board as official sponsors of Newcastle's very first city-centre, triathlon event, which will see teams from both regional and national business vying for first place in the Quayside race.
The Evening Chronicle’s Sunshine Fund is on the search for public and corporate teams after having been selected as the chosen beneficiaries of Newcastle’s very first triathlon event due to take place on the 24th July.
Winn Solicitors are on board with the event as official sponsors of the corporate wave, which will see teams from both regional and national business vying for first place in the Quayside race.
Suitable for all abilities, ages and genders, teams of four will be encouraged to run, cycle and swim to raise funds for the charity, which supports disabled children in the northeast.
Winn Solicitors have also entered a team for the challenge, some of whom recently visited Hadrian School in Newcastle – who have benefitted from grants from the Sunshine Fund – along with Miss Newcastle Shannen Steinson who supports the charity.
Michael Warmington, office manager and head of human resources here at Winns, said;
“We’re delighted to be able to support the Newcastle Triathlon, knowing all the money our staff team raise will support local children with disabilities.
“The Sunshine Fund is a fantastic charity, and we are thrilled that the money raised will be able to support more local schools with sporting equipment such as trikes, so the children can stay active and have fun.”
Legal Clark Michael Kealy – who is part of the Winn Solicitors team – added;
“The triathlon itself won’t be easy and we’ll need to train hard, but knowing what a great cause it is for makes it all worthwhile. Meeting the children today has made us even more determined to take the challenge on and raise as much as possible.”
Clare Savory, event manager at the Sunshine Fund, said;
“We are delighted to have Winn Solicitors on board as corporate sponsor for the Newcastle Triathlon. The money raised from the event will help provide sporting equipment to disabled children across the North East.”
