Winn Group prides itself on offering not just job opportunities but chances to mould a career.

A growing number of our employees have passed five, 10, 15, and 20-year anniversary landmarks in the course of their time at the company, benefitting from an environment that encourages career progression and taking ownership of their next role.

A brilliant example of this is Emma Douglas, a valued member of our HR team who raised a glass to 15 years at the organisation.

Starting back in 2011, she joined our admin team before spells in different departments resulted in a temporary spell in Human Resources.

Discovering this as the place she wanted to be, Emma has been in the team for nine years, rising through the ranks and providing valuable contributions

The HR Officer has developed her career in the direction she wanted to with the backing and support of those around her, leaving her looking forward to a bright future.

She said: “Fifteen years ago, I wouldn’t have guessed I’d still be here, but the company growth and opportunities have made it a valuable experience.

“I enjoyed working in different departments, but I soon realised HR was where I wanted to be. The company supported me with a six-month secondment to help me gain experience, and I never left!

“Thank you to Colette (Gardner, Head of HR) for letting me stick around. Nine years later, with help funding my studies, I’ve progressed from HR Administrator to HR Assistant, and I’m now an HR Officer.

“What I enjoy most about working here is the variety in my role; every day brings something different. Many are surprised to learn that I genuinely enjoy my job!

“I feel lucky to have spent the past 15 years working with great people, and I appreciate all the encouragement and help I’ve received from everyone I’ve worked with along the way.

“Thank you to Laura (Ellaby, Deputy Head of HR) and Colette for the daily support - I’m looking forward to seeing what the future holds for me at Winns.”

Colette Gardner, Winn Group’s Head of HR, said: “A huge thank you for your hard work and dedication over the years. Your knowledge of the business, the strong relationships you’ve built with colleagues and managers, and the support and advice you consistently provide are truly appreciated.

“We’re very lucky to have you on our team.”
