Winns is always pleased to see its team members evolve and grow during their time with us, so we couldn’t be more pleased to see Nichola Welsh qualify as a Costs Lawyer.

Nichola, 27, began her career with Winns as an office junior eight years ago. She progressed though the company and began a Business Management Degree course at Northumbria University, where she gained a 2:1.

In 2011, Nichola started the Association of Costs Lawyers (ACL) Course and has recently passed her final exam.

With a prestigious legal qualification under her belt, Nichola is now a fully-fledged Costs Lawyer.

“I feel I have developed significantly from starting as an office junior to obtaining my degree and finally qualifying as a Costs Lawyer,” said Nichola.

“I have been provided with excellent training and advice whilst having been given the opportunity to progress and develop further within my career at Winns.”

Nichola is also a team leader within our Drafting department, managing a team of four in drafting a series of various schedules, bills, listings, trials and costs budgets.

Michael Warmington, Head of Human Resources comments;

“Nichola is an integral part of our Costs Department and brings further strength and knowledge to the team in qualifying as a Costs Lawyer. Nicola continues to progress with Winns and we are proud to have her as part of our team.”
