Congratulations are in order for Haleema Gohar, Liam Warren and Daniel Strong, who have recently been awarded training contracts with Winn Solicitors.

The successful trio all studied Law at Northumbria University, and have been working at Winns for around 18 months. Liam, from Hartlepool, and Haleema, from Newcastle, are currently part of the Vehicle Damage Team, while Daniel, originally from Scunthorpe, started off in the Costs Team, before moving to the Portal Team in March 2016.

Haleema said;

“I am excited to start my new role as a trainee. I am looking forward to going back to university for the Professional Skills Course, and am also looking forward to my seat within the Costs Team, and other departments.

“From the outset of my career at Winns I have been focussed on obtaining a training contract with the firm. Winns offers great opportunities for progression and have supported me throughout. I have been able to progress quickly and develop my skills. I thoroughly enjoy my daily work and find the people here great to work with. I am looking forward to the experience that I will gain throughout my training contract. In the future, I would like to work with complex claims, and progress my career with the firm further.”

Liam added;

“The process of obtaining a training contract was challenging, as there was some strong competition. However, as I have worked here for over a year, I was able to demonstrate what I am capable of and the contributions I made to the firm, and I think that helped to make the difference.

“After completing my training contract, I would like to deal with complex personal injury cases in the Multi-track Team or look to move into a training and development role as a Team Leader.

“I thoroughly enjoy working at Winns. We work with some amazing people and I would recommend anyone with an interest in personal injury who is looking for a training contract to come and join our fantastic team.”

Daniel said;

“Since joining the firm in June 2015 I have quickly progressed my career with the firm and have developed and progressed my legal skills and knowledge, leading me to obtain my training contract. This is a big achievement for me as it was one of my career goals.”

Associate Director Jo Amos said;

“Congratulations to Liam, Haleema and Daniel on obtaining training contracts. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop their careers and become qualified solicitors. We look forward to supporting them through this process.”
