Winns is welcoming James Urquhart-Burton to the firm, in the role of Solicitor in the Part 7 Team.
James, who is originally from Solihull, but now lives in Newcastle, studied his LLB in Law with Spanish at Aberystwyth University before completing his Legal Practice Course at The College of Law in Birmingham.
Prior to joining the team at Winns, James spent six years at a national law firm called Simpson Millar LLP.
During this time, he worked in several positions, including Trainee Solicitor, Associate Solicitor and Team Leader in the Care Homes Department. In the latter role, he was responsible for the supervision of the department’s Paralegal Teams in addition to conducting a caseload of NHS Continuing Healthcare Appeals.
In his new role in the Part 7 Team, James will undertake further detailed investigation into the cases which are assigned to him, and to progress these cases as efficiently as possible.
James said;
“I am now settling into my new role as a solicitor in the Part 7 Team. I have met some fantastic people already. The main motivation for my move to Winn Solicitors was to develop my civil litigation experience. So far I have settled in very well and I am pleased to be working with one of the best personal injury firms in the UK.”
Deputy Manager of the Trials Team, Tamsin Waugh, said;
“We’re delighted to welcome James to Winns. His experience and enthusiasm will be of great benefit to the team and the firm as a whole. We look forward to watching him progress in his new role.”
