It started back in 2005. It continues to this day and beyond, if Jenna Whitton has anything to do with it.

The Winn Group Development Analyst celebrated, along with colleagues and the wider business, her 20-year anniversary with the organisation, a fantastic achievement.

Someone who has worked in a variety of roles, she’s now tasked with driving progress in relation to our processes and procedures, delivering better outcomes for clients in relation to customer care.

A fine example of career development, her steps at Winns have gone from Legal Secretary, to Team Leader, to Process Co-ordinator, to Development Analyst, highlighting an employee carving out their own career and following their ambitions with us.

She said: “I wasn’t entirely sure what I wanted to do career wise.  At the time, I was working at HMRC but working evenings so I was ready for a change.

“I was interested in the legal sector, so when the advert for a Legal Secretary job at Winns came up, I had to go for it.

“Winns was just getting started back then, so it was exciting to join during the early days when they were just getting started on their big plans for the future.

“I just wanted to get in and see where it took me.  On paper, 20 years is a long time, but it still feels like a few years ago when it all began. Maybe I am just trying to block out the fact that I am getting old!

“Now, I’m genuinely happy in my role, surrounded by brilliant managers and the best teammates. I actually love coming to work.”

Encouraged by a colleague, Shaun Hughes, to get into coding, Jenna has become an expert, using her desire to learn more about the subject to motivate her career development.

That, and the people she’s met over the years, have been important driving forces behind her 20 years at Winns.

Clint Milnes, Winn Group Chief Operating Officer, celebrated this significant milestone with plenty to look forward to in a bright future.

He said: “I have not had the pleasure of working with Jenna for her full 20 years within the business. But Jenna, for me, embodies the Winns core values in terms of reliability, loyalty, respect, and integrity, and she does it all with such a positive attitude and a smile on her face.

“Jenna's openness to learn and want to push herself is totally infectious and extremely admirable, and I think Winn Group have been lucky to have Jenna as such a great employee during her tenure - long may that continue.”

Mark Howell, Jenna’s line manager and Head of IT Operations, said: “Jenna is committed, reliable, and goes above and beyond each day. She is a pleasure to work with and an asset to the business.
