For Josef Lythe, 2016 marked the start of a significant part of his career. Fast forward 10 years, and he’s made big strides at Winn Group.
The solicitor has forged a career path that has seen him attain qualified solicitor status in 2021, before a move to the then newly formed Wills, Probate and Trusts team saw him gain further legal qualifications, including the Lifetime Lawyer accreditation for specialists dealing in matters specific to his department.
“I started in the Portal department as a Legal Clerk and then moved into Part 7, where I qualified as a solicitor, and then soon after moved into the Wills, Probate and Trusts Team as a solicitor.
“I have always felt supported in my career development, which has allowed me to qualify.
“As well as this, the many people I have worked with over the years have been great, whether these be managers or other colleagues in my various teams.
“Winns really does seem to have a knack for employing some great people.”
When thinking of anyone he’d like to thank for their support over the years, there was too long a list to mention them all.
He added: “There are almost too many people to thank who have helped my development over the years and made my time at Winns so enjoyable.
“I will narrow this down to the three main managers whom I have had, that being Amy Graham, David Dewar, and Rebecca Harbron Gray. All have been very supportive of me in both my job role and various personal life events, which I am very grateful for.”
His current line manager and Head of Wills, Probate and Trusts, Rebecca Harbron-Gray said: “Josef has had some amazing opportunities at Winns from being straight out of University, securing his first legal role, to qualifying as a solicitor and even re-training in a completely new area of law to him.
“Not simply accepting to re-train, but he is now Lifetime Lawyer accredited and is expanding his knowledge and skills every day in an area that is ever changing.
“Our clients always speak highly of him, and his love of technology combined with the earlier knowledge of the firm has meant he is a continued source of support to the WPT department’s case management development and Winns Wills.
“Well done Josef!”
