Winn Solicitors has recently increased the number of training contracts on offer to staff, and awarded four employees – Joseph Carton, Amy Mill, Helena Kennedy and Chloe Jasper – training contracts.
The four trainee solicitors all joined the firm over the last three years, and have made a great contribution to the firm in that time.
Chloe, from Sunderland, started at Winns in August 2015, and is currently working in the Vehicle Damage Team.
Chloe said;
“I enjoying working at Winns as the people are lovely and it’s great for progression. It’s fast paced and you learn a lot on the job. I’m very excited to be starting my training contract as it’s something I’ve been working towards since university, and as they’re quite competitive, I’m extremely happy to be given this opportunity. I hope to gain more knowledge in the different areas of law that Winns deal with while completing my training contract, giving me a solid foundation on which to start a successful career as a solicitor within the firm.”
Amy, originally from Catterick Village, North Yorkshire, but now living in Newcastle, studied Law at Northumbria University before joining Winns two years ago. Amy started off in the Part Seven Team, and is now working in the Portal Team.
Amy added;
“Working at Winns has been a massive learning curve. I am enjoying working in a fast-paced, ever-changing business. I was pleased to get awarded a training contract – it’s great to know that all the hard work has paid off and it’s a confidence boost to know that the directors feel I am ready to take on this role. My ambitions are to extend on civil litigation experience and eventually deal with more complex injury claims.”
Helena, from Lincolnshire, has been with the firm for just under a year, and is currently working in the MIB Team and the Part Seven Team, where she deals with disputed liability claims, foreign vehicle claims, and uninsured claims both on and off the portal. Joseph, from Sunderland, has been with the firm for around two and a half years, and is also working in the Part Seven Team.
Helena said;
“I am over the moon that I have obtained a training contract and hope to continue to develop my skills in the future with the help of my colleagues at Winn Solicitors.”
Joseph added;
“I have enjoyed my time at Winns so far and am happy to be able to continue to progress within the firm. I’m looking forward to future challenges.”
Associate Director Jo Amos said;
“We are delighted to award Joe, Chloe, Helena and Amy training contracts with Winns. The calibre of applications for training contracts this year has been exceptionally high, and we are very pleased to offer these additional contracts to give talented staff the opportunity to take the next steps in their career. We look forward to supporting them through this process."
