Management Team: Chris Jones Passes 15-Year Marker

Fifteen years ago, Chris Jones stepped through the doors at Winns as a Claims Handler at the beginning of a process that would take him to Associate Director and part of the management team as Head of FRT level.

To say a few things have changed from 7th November 2007 to now would be quite an understatement – the building, the teams, the turnover!

It’s a company beyond comparison with the past version and one that Chris has helped develop over the years.

With that upward trajectory would naturally come challenges with adapting to larger work volumes, growing teams, and evolving management structures to accommodate.

He said: “The process was initially focused on personal injury but, because of industry reforms, that has changed massively over the 15 years. There have been plenty of challenges, but you must be patient and adapt as teams grow and become more complex in nature.

“I’ve grown with the company, from my role as a Claims Handler to looking after six people to then looking after 120 people as part of the management team and Head of FRT.

“We’re now dealing with ten times the amount of hires a month. We’re on course for record turnover which just shows how far we’ve come in the 20 years we’ve been in business.”

With the introduction of 24/7 working the latest process upgrade, Chris remains impressed by how the core of the company hasn’t changed despite many developments over the years.

He added: “I’ve been most impressed with the way we’ve grown, in terms of staff and we’ve kept a positive morale.

“Seeing the company grow is something to be proud of.”
