Winn Group held its annual charity quiz night recently, raising a fantastic total for our chosen charity of the year the Rainbow Trust.

Held just around the corner from our office, in Heaton, the event attracted 23 teams vying for the ‘coveted’ Winn Group quiz trophy.

Although the glory went to Beyonce Know-Alls – made up of Rachael Farrimond, George Logan, Eva Robinson, Danny Lennox, Aaron O’Donnell, and Kate Brooks – the night’s main objective was to fundraise as much as possible for the charity.

A fantastic effort, combining the raffle and ticket sales, we’ve managed to raise £1,306 which was donated online to the cause recently.

Naomi Beagles, Rainbow Trust Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser, said: “A huge thank you to Winn Group for hosting their Quiz Night on the 5th September this year.

“Winn Group and the team raised an incredible £1,306 for Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity. This event is one of a variety of fundraising efforts from Winn Group and brings their total to £7,699!

“This is enough to provide 240 hours of support to families caring for a seriously ill child. Thank you, we appreciate all that you do for Rainbow Trust as one of our supporters.”

Ross Jackson, CSR Deputy Lead, said: “It’s always brilliant fun on the night, with plenty of laughs and wrong answers.

“But the charity benefits most and we are delighted to move past the £7,500-mark in terms of donations to the Rainbow Trust.

“They do great work and we’re happy to support it.”
