This September, the Winns team celebrated the 10-year anniversary of Sarah Smith.
Sarah first joined the company as a secretary in the clerks' department and has since progressed to become a fee-earner. Such is her versatility and ability, she has also taken on the mantle of acting team leader on more than one occasion.
“I joined the company in September 2008 and moved to become a fee earner in 2012. I have worked with a couple of different teams and moved into this role in February 2018, so it's been a nice steady progression,” explains Sarah.
Whilst Sarah started as a secretary and has been a fee-earner for the last six years, it's clear that her experiences as an acting team leader have helped shape her outlook at work.
“I like getting a team to settle, and for me, that team unity really comes through when we're winning on the leader board and bringing in money. That is what we're meant to do after all, and when I can see that working, I really find it to be the most satisfying part of the job.
“I don't have a law degree, so, in terms of my career, progression for me would be team leading. If a suitable position becomes available in the future, then I would love the chance to take on a team of my own.”
Michael Warmington, Associate Director, adds;
“Sarah really has been a credit to Winns over the last ten years. She's proved herself at every step of her career, and we're sure her best work is yet to come.”
Chris Cullingworth, Associate Director and Sarah’s line manager added,
“Sarah is a dedicated and hard-working member of the team. She stepped up to become team leader to cover maternity and has imparted her knowledge and experience on her team. Sarah has a great future ahead of her at Winns.”
