Winn Group staff supported the charity Samaritan’s during its annual shoebox appeal, with a successful outcome.

Members of the team packed, wrapped and delivered 14 shoeboxes filled with children’s toys and gifts so they can be sent all over the World to children who have suffered hardship and difficult circumstances in their lifetime.

A member of our CSR team, Brogan Shirreffs, was delighted with the contribution of Winn Group staff.

She said of the staff shoebox appeal; “The boxes will go to children across the world who at times may not have had shelter, warmth, clean water, food or clothing.

“The Samaritan’s co-ordinating ‘Operation Christmas Child’ have made efforts to ensure that these essential needs are met for these children, but each contribution will bring them something completely different.

“That is a special treat at Christmas time, together with the knowledge that somebody is thinking of them.

“I am over the moon with the total. I know this year hasn’t been easy on anybody but the fact that colleagues and friends have put their time, effort and hard-earned money into a project that helps others is fantastic.”
