One of the longest-serving members of our First Response Team will be using his expertise in a leadership role after earning promotion at Winn Group.
Alex Hall, who had been Training Officer after learning his craft as a file handler, has been with the company for 14 years and brings invaluable experience in claims management to the team leader role.
Taking on this new challenge, Alex was keen to thank those who have helped him along the way and is relishing this latest opportunity to progress his career.
He said: “We had a fantastic team in the training role and I enjoyed my time there. Big thanks to Ben (Marshall) and Simon (Jackson) who gave me the opportunity to run the ‘Graduation Table’ and who helped me massively to be able to move into my new role.
“I’d also like to say a thank you to Chris Jones (Head of FRT) and Paul Hewitson (Deputy Head of FRT) for giving me this opportunity as well as others like Chris (Drought) and Tom (Douglas) who backed me to get the job.
“I’ve always enjoyed FRT and the fast-paced environment it delivers. I’ve grown so much in the 14 years here, both personally and professionally, and I’m looking forward to working closely with a good friend of mine in Chris Drought.
“I’ll have more staff to look after and have more responsibilities in the role but I’m just focusing on being the best team leader I can be at the moment.”
As part of a small restructure, Abigail Kilmartin will now take on a new role as FRT Training Officer, working alongside Simon and Jak Christon, assuming the lead position on the Graduation Table.
She said: “I was really excited for this new role and to be helping with the training programme. It’s a chance to help new staff with how to run their own workload efficiently ready for when they are moved into file handler roles.
“I’d like to thank Paul Hewitson and Chris Jones for this opportunity.”
