Maiya Whittleton and Meghan McCulloch have recently joined the team at Winn Solicitors as Apprentice Admin Assistants in the Post Team.
Meghan, from Hebburn, worked in hospitality before joining the firm, as a waitress at a local pub, and on the kiosk and bar at St James Park.
Meghan said;
“Doing an apprenticeship appealed to me as it will give me the opportunity to gain new skills and knowledge on the job. This apprenticeship is completely different to anything I have ever done before and I am enjoying the change.
“My favourite part of the job is learning new things every day, and I’ve had the opportunity to meet people I wouldn’t have if it wasn’t for this job. Once I have completed my apprenticeship, I hope to progress within the company.”
Maiya, from South Shields, joined Winns after completing her GCSEs at Boldon School.
She said;
“I’m really enjoying my apprenticeship because even though I am working, I am learning at the same time. What appealed to me the most about doing an apprenticeship was the opportunity to develop my skills. I chose Winn Solicitors because I felt that it was a good company to help me progress in my career.
“I enjoy working as part of a team, and that there is always something to do – I’m never short of work. I hope to work my way up in the company in the future.”
Post Team Supervisor, Peter Bell, said;
“We’re very happy to welcome apprentices Meghan and Maiya to the Post Team at Winn Solicitors. This is a great starting point for their careers with the firm, and we look forward to watching them progress in their new roles.”
