Winns Welcomes Rebecca Harbron Gray as Head of Wills, Probate and Trusts

Winns is delighted to announce the appointment of Rebecca Harbron Gray to the role of Head of Wills, Probate and Trusts, marking the next step in Winns’ strategy to diversify into new areas of law.

With a vision to embrace new technological practices already used by Winns in other areas of law, Rebecca plans to shape the future of the Wills, Probate and Trusts service making the process as easy and convenient for the client as possible.

Rebecca commented:

“In times that have changed for us all in the last 18 months, all areas of law have to move with the times and suit the client’s journey. Winns has been in that position for years already so working here now gives me much more of a foundation to change and improve the client journey to offer face-to-face, telephone, and online services to those near and far.”

Rebecca brings a wealth of invaluable knowledge to Winns with over 15 years of experience in the Wills, Probate and Trusts field, additional qualifications from Solicitors for the Elderly, STEP and Cross Border Estates, as well as her involvement in the establishment and ongoing work of the Bradley Lowery Foundation.

With this experience in mind, Rebecca is particularly looking forward to having the opportunity to perfect the client journey from scratch, ensuring a superior service for those seeking to create a Will, Trust or navigate through Probate. She said:

“Having the opportunity to implement practices that I have always dreamt of from the very beginning of a file, to improve the efficiency and the client journey, is a wonderful experience. Not many people get the chance to do that and I am determined to get it exactly right.”

In addition, Rebecca is passionate about practicing for a well-known North East brand:

“The North East is a place I have always lived in and working for a brand like Winn Solicitors, that very much began in the North East, is really important to me. The people across the whole of the Group have been very welcoming – another great Northern trait! It’s amazing that despite their size they still have the personal approach with each other as colleagues and with clients too.

“I am really excited to be back practicing in Newcastle upon Tyne and to work with like-minded lawyers to develop the Wills and Probate offering here.”

Winn Solicitors Chief Operating Officer, Chris Birkett, welcomed Rebecca to the firm saying:

“The board was greatly impressed with Rebecca’s forward-thinking and modern approach to an area of law which is ready for transformation.

“Rebecca’s experience and expertise in this area speaks for itself, but her ideas around delivery of services and utilising more technical solutions to offer clients a truly unique experience were what impressed us and certainly align with our processes in our other areas of business also.

“We look forward to developing a new dynamic Wills and Probate offering which I’m sure will be successful in the coming years.”
