We are on the lookout for a motivated individual to join our IT team as a Business Analyst.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for facilitating and coordinating all aspects of the IT change management process to ensure seamless and efficient changes within the IT infrastructure.

This role ensures changes are thoroughly assessed, authorised, prioritised, and implemented in alignment with organisational and compliance standards (such as ISO27001), minimising risk to

operational stability and service delivery. The Analyst works collaboratively across departments to manage the impact of changes, reduce service disruption, and maintain high levels of system performance.

Responsibilities

  • As a Business Analyst, you will act as the primary point of contact for the IT change management process, overseeing and coordinating all change requests and ensuring they follow established protocols.
  • Evaluate the risk and potential impact of each change on system operations, customer data security, and compliance standards, particularly focusing on ISO27001.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all change requests, approvals, implementations, and post-implementation reviews to ensure audit readiness.
  • Regularly assess and improve change management processes to increase efficiency and reduce the frequency and impact of failed changes.
  • Organise Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings by setting agendas, taking minutes, and following up on any action items. They will ensure all necessary team members are informed about upcoming changes and given the opportunity to provide feedback.
  • Work closely with IT, operations, and relevant department heads to coordinate change approvals and maintain effective communication throughout the change lifecycle.

Working Hours

This role is full-time, based on 35 hours per week. The working pattern for this role is Monday to Friday, 9.00 am to 5.00 pm.


We are also fully office-based in Byker, Newcastle.

To succeed in this role, we're looking for someone who brings a blend of must-have skills and experiences, along with those extra special qualities that can really make a difference to our team and business.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Experience in a similar role with knowledge of change management processes and tools.
  • Strong understanding of change management frameworks, including ITIL.
  • Analytical thinking with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to assess risks and impacts of proposed changes.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills, with the ability to convey change information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple change requests simultaneously, ensuring that deadlines are met.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • ·Understanding of client case progression in similar company or environment.
