Responsibilities
- As a Legal Assistant, you will provide litigation and administrative support to serious injury fee earners.
- Draft legal documents and correspondence with increasing independence.
- Instruct medical experts and liaise with third-party agencies and providers.
- Manage client communication and help progress claims via the MoJ Portal or direct insurer channels.
- Organise and obtain vital case records (e.g. medical, employment, police reports).
- Support case preparation for hearings, conferences, and expert meetings.
- Maintain accurate records in Proclaim and ensure SRA-compliant client care.
- Help maximise recovery of associated costs while prioritising client outcomes.
What We Offer
Working Hours
This role is full-time, based on 37.5 hours per week.
The working pattern for this role is Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 5.00 pm.
We are also fully office-based in Byker, Newcastle.
About You

Skills and Experience
- Understanding of serious injury litigation procedures (Part 7, MoJ Portal, and Part 8 processes).
- Experience supporting or progressing personal injury claims.
- Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive mindset and willingness to learn and grow within a legal team.
- Excellent time management and ability to work under pressure.
- ·Commitment to teamwork, compliance, and client service excellence.
- Proficiency in case management systems (Proclaim experience desirable).
