Law firm Winn Solicitors has strengthened its commitment to supporting people with hearing loss on the roads, after securing the Louder Than Words charter for another year.
Action on Hearing Loss – the leading authority which supports people who are deaf or hard of hearing – has renewed Winn Solicitors’ position on its official roster of accredited partners.
This achievement demonstrates the company’s ongoing commitment to ensuring the deaf and hard of hearing sector are able to receive the same level of service as anyone else that has been involved in an accident.
A number of extremely successful key measures were installed by Winns before the initial assessment for the charter mark in 2013. These include a text relay initiative which is run by highly trained staff, loop systems that aid the hard of hearing, a Live Chat software on their website and access to external experts with British Sign Language (BSL) and other relevant skills.
Jeff Winn, Managing Director, Winn Solicitors, said;
“We’re delighted to have had our Action on Hearing Loss accreditation extended. We believe all our customers should be able to access our support with ease and receive the same excellent level of service. We also believe in a world in which hearing loss does not limit or label people.”
Louder than Words is a nationally recognised best practice charter put in place for organisations looking to provide a comprehensive service for clients who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Spokesperson for the charity, Dominic Stephen, said;
“A staggering one in six people across the UK are affected by hearing loss, so businesses and organisations have a duty to ensure that they communicate appropriately and effectively with each and every one of their clients and customers in order to best meet their needs. We are delighted that Winn Solicitors has passed and been awarded the charity’s Louder than Words™ charter mark for another year. It’s really great to see such excellent work in practice and I’d like to say a massive well done to all the company’s staff.”
