We are delighted to welcome new Solicitors Fiona McClelland and Himat Sidhu to Winns. Fiona, from High Heaton, and Himat, from Jarrow, both recently joined our busy Trials Team.

Fiona joins us from TLW Solicitors, where she worked as a Fee Earner. In the past, she has also worked for several sole practitioners in the Newcastle area, doing a mixture of contentious and non-contentious civil work.

Himat originally studied Sport Science at Sunderland University, before completing his law qualifications at Northumbria. He has worked as a Debt Legal Advisor for Dawn Ltd, and undertook his training contract at criminal law firm C and G Solicitors in Wolverhampton. Most recently, he worked at True Solicitors in Newcastle, in their Noise Induced Hearing Loss department.

Working in the Trials Team at Winns, Fiona and Himat will be responsible for dealing with disputed liability RTA claims. Much of their caseload will be made up of litigated cases proceeding to trial.

Fiona said;

“I qualified as a Solicitor in March 2014. I’ve been looking to move to a larger firm to progress my career in litigation, so I’m very happy to have obtained a role on the Trials Team at Winns.”

Himat added;

“It’s great to have joined the Trials Team at Winn Solicitors - I’m excited about working for such a well-known North East firm. I’m looking forward to developing my career with Winns.”
