Winns Staff Sell Computers For St Oswalds!

The IT department here at Winns recently sold off old office equipment in order to raise money for an amazing local cause, St Oswald's Hospice. In total, the team raised a spectacular £710!

St. Oswald's is a charity that we have supported in the past, raising money with our Christmas Jumper day and regularly filling up our donation station in the office with old clothes and household items.

Founded in the 1970's, St. Oswald's mission is to improve quality of life for everyone in the North East living with an incurable condition. Most recently, they've introduced a campaign to provide better transition services for young adults with life-limiting conditions, with the aim of better understanding their needs and aspirations.

Our Head of Change Management, Clint Milnes went down to the hospice in Gosforth to present our donation and meet some of the staff. He said;

"We underwent a PC refresh programme which left us with a large number of second-hand PC's and monitors. We made these available to all members of staff in return for a donation to a charity of our choice. As a North-East organisation, we like to support local charities. The vision and strategic objectives of St. Oswald's is one we were drawn to and the fact that they not only support those with unfortunate incurable conditions but also their families."
