On Medical has had much good news to report lately, not least that it was successful in achieving Tier 1 status. This success, in turn, created the requirement for an Operations Manager, a role successfully filled by the joint dream team, Sarah Maddison and Kelven Oxberry, promoted to the role thanks to their impressive previous contribution and commitment.
While Kelven only joined last year as a Training, Auditing and Quality Control Officer, Sarah has been with Winns for close to eleven years, starting out as a legal secretary straight from university. In their new joint role, they oversee the running of On Medical's seven teams.
Both may be new to the role of Operations Manager, but have a wealth of experience behind them. Sarah has proven herself to be extremely versatile by working across Winn Group over the last decade. Meanwhile, Kelven's past managerial post within the energy industry has allowed him to bring transferable coaching, training, and development skills to Winns and On Medical.
The joint role requires them to ensure that daily productivity and quality of work is maintained to the highest of levels.
Sarah who focusses on business development and generation of business leads with medical experts understands the importance of her role saying;
“It is essential that we retain our 300 plus external solicitor clients while also ensuring MedCo compliance is met since we achieved our HVN MRO Tier 1 status.”
Kelven’s responsibility lies more towards handling resource management, as well as managing workstreams across all of On Medical's teams.
“We employ 32 people across seven teams,” explains Kelven.
“Everybody reports to both Sarah and myself, and we have different areas of expertise which we sign off on, creating a combined strength and breadth of delivery.”
On Medical is in the midst of a period of expansion. Alongside new full-time team members, a number of apprentices have joined the ranks.
“Apprentices are something we've never had before,” notes Kelven;
“but are already proving to be a welcome addition to the On Medical customer service team. We are really enjoying assisting them in their career. They're doing great work as well as gaining knowledge and experience that will help them now and in the future, and it's great to be part of that and see them grow.”
On Medical’s rapid growth over the last year, in particular, proves that much is being done well in the business and that includes, in no small part, Kelven and Sarah's firm and assured grasp of their roles as Joint Operations Managers.
Ian Scanlan, On Medical Director wholeheartedly agrees with this saying;
“Both Kelven and Sarah bring different but complimenting skills to the On Med team. Their partnership has proved to be beneficial and more managerially effective to both the firm and staff.”
Sarah added;
“I have gained a variety of experience across Winn Group and am looking forward to continuing to help to take On Medical from strength to strength.”
