When Laura Redhead first started at Winn Group, 10 years ago, she took her first tentative steps into the working world.

An outstanding story of career progression and development at the company, Laura’s journey has taken her from Post Team to Portal Team, as a Legal Assistant, on to Vehicle Damage before a switch to File Closure where she became a Compliance and Closure Clerk.

It demonstrates our desire to upskill our employees, to provide opportunities wherever possible, and to ensure each person has the chance to fulfil their potential with Winn Group.

She said: “I remember being shown around the office and back then only about 100 people worked for the company, so a lot smaller than it is today, it feels like yesterday – it has gone so fast!

“The department has changed massively since the File Closure Team was first started in 2017. Back then there were only three of us, and now we’re a growing team of 10.

“As the company has expanded, the team has had to adapt and we have taken on a lot more responsibilities in the Group.

“With new members of the team comes new training opportunities; this keeps every day different and interesting.”

Although anniversaries are traditionally a time to look back, Laura is also predicting a bright future ahead based on the people at the company.

She added: “The people I work with are part of the reason I have stayed as long as I have, as well as the opportunities for progression that is offered here.

“I am optimistic for the future; I have seen a lot of change in the past 10 years but I look forward to seeing where we will be in the years to come.

“As we adapt to new processes, I hope to develop my knowledge and skills further and continue to provide support to the team and department.”

Aileen O’Brien, Compliance and Closure Manager, said: “When the File Closure Team was developed, I was delighted when Laura agreed to join the team as a Compliance and Closure Clerk, as she brought with her vast knowledge and experience of the Group, which she imparted across the team.

“Today, she continues to be an integral part of both File Closure and Finance and I thank her for her dedication.
