Kirsty Devlin Celebrates 10-Year Anniversary

Winn Group was pleased to celebrate Kirsty Devlin’s 10-year anniversary at the company recently.

Not only did it give us the chance to toast the achievements of an outstanding employee, it also provided an ideal opportunity to highlight the significant and wide-ranging career development options available at Winns.

The Protocol Team Leader started in 2016 as a Claims Handler, then moved to Protocol Legal Clerk, before earning promotions to a Senior position and her current role on a much-expanded team.

Extended career stays are often based on a number of factors but the chance to grow in her role and make tangible progress ensured Kirsty was happy not only with her first decade but looking optimistically beyond that point.

She said: “We’ve expanded so much over the years as a business. Protocol alone was only five members of staff, including myself, when I joined, and now there are around 30 of us, which is a huge growth in a short period of time.

“I have always been appreciated for my hard work, but I love the people I work with, and every day is different.

“I feel like I have developed my career here not only in my job titles but in my understanding of the claims journey, and in relation to building relationships across the business and with third-party providers.”

Far too many to thank, Kirsty picked out a handful of colleagues in recognition of their input into her career here to date.

She added: “Paul (Hewitson, Deputy Head of FRT) has always recognised my hard work and always checked up on how I’m doing, whether work or non-work related. I’m grateful to Kieran Embleton for seeing my potential in Protocol, listening to my ideas and helping create a good working relationship from being claims handlers to where we are now.

“Anna Briggs and I started Winns together, and, although in different roles to begin with, for the last five or six years we have worked directly with each other – I’m very proud of her progression here, and I’d like to thank her for being there through everything that the last six years have brought us.

“I could go on as I’ve made some very good friends over the years!”

Chris Jones and Paul Hewitson, Head and Deputy Head of FRT, said: “We are grateful for your 10 years of dedicated service, Kirsty.  From the start, you have shown professionalism and commitment, seamlessly progressing from Claims Handler to Team Leader in FRT’s Protocol Team.

"Your leadership and support have been instrumental in developing your team and ensuring that we settle our protocol cases efficiently.”

“Thank you, Kirsty, for all your hard work and unwavering dedication!”
