VIDEO: Winn Group Funds Music Therapy at Chuf

We’re delighted to demonstrate our support for the Children’s Heart Unit Fund (Chuf) by funding their music therapy programme.

Allowing for the provision of a music therapist over the next 12 months, this development positively impacts the children using the Heart Unit Fund at the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle.

These children are often facing long spells on the ward, going through uncertain and difficult times in their lives as they await or are receiving treatment for potentially life-threatening conditions.

Delivered by Scarlett Taylor, the music therapist on the ward, these sessions encourage children to engage with something fun, to brighten their mood, and provide a creative outlet in times that can feel long and daunting.
