Emma Green’s Journey Highlights Career Possibilities at Winn Group

Emma Green’s career journey at Winn Group over the last 15 years encapsulates our ethos of career development.

Starting as a Legal Clerk in the VD department in 2011, she began her training contract the following year and moved to the role of Trainee Solicitor in PI Part 7. A move to the old Trials team happened in 2014, prior to becoming a Team Leader in the VD Team.

A move into a Training and Development Co-Ordinator job preceded her most recent job title – Senior Supervising Solicitor.

A decade and a half after first walking through the doors, Emma has developed her career, helped shape its direction, and taken control of future steps.

Winn Group is a keen advocate of training and development, offering graduates clear pathways to achieving solicitor status.

Whether that is a training contract or the SQE option, we actively encourage development and ensure that those who want to and who work hard will find those routes available to them.

Currently, we have 31 SQE apprentices on their journey and 12 training contracts that have been successfully completed in recent years.

Discussing her own journey, Emma said: “I have always felt supported and encouraged to further my career and make progress in my development by my team leaders and managers.

“I enjoy the nuances of litigation and that every day is different and interesting. The people who I have worked with over the years, particularly in the VD department, are the crux of why I enjoy my job.

“I’ve made lifelong friends at Winns, and I know there is always someone I can speak to if I need guidance, to use as a sounding board or for a pick-me-up if I need it.”

Rebecca Colby, an Associate Director and Head of Vehicle Damage Post-Litigation, said: “Congratulations to Emma on an incredible 15 years with the firm!

“It’s a wonderful milestone and a testament not only to her legal expertise, but also to her dedication, willingness to support others, and the positive impact she has had on colleagues and clients alike over the years.

“Emma’s commitment, hard work, and extensive credit hire and litigation knowledge have helped shape the vehicle damage department into the team it is today. Reaching 15 years is a significant achievement, and it has been a pleasure to see Emma’s growth and development with the firm.

“We wish Emma every success for the future and look forward to seeing what the next chapter brings! Thank you, Emma, for all your hard work.”
