Adam Doyle and Liam Appleby have successfully completed their training contract and will now be added to the Solicitors’ Roll.

A significant milestone in any aspiring solicitor’s career, the duo, who both work in the Contested Litigation Team, are now fully qualified solicitors after two years of learning, development, and on-the-job experience.

Speaking about their respective achievements, the pair were delighted to have reached this point in their career journey and were keen to kick on from here.

Adam said of the day he found out: “It started excellently with a legendary win at the Azteca for England, and to be able to put the certificate on my desk was special, and something I’ve anticipated.

“I’ve worked toward this for a long time, from my time at Northumbria University to here, and it is brilliant to finally be admitted on the roll.

“It’s a massive step, especially post-Mazur; it gives me authority to conduct litigation without oversight, making the process more efficient and easier to manage.

“I owe a lot to my colleagues/supervisors who helped me get here - Winns has taken me from a student to a qualified Solicitor by 25, so I have to thank everyone here for their support in that.  

“I hope to support others going forward in making the same step.”

Just as delighted was Liam, as he said: “Achieving this qualification was incredibly rewarding and a proud moment after years of hard work and dedication.

“The training contract is a crucial step towards qualification and has provided the foundation for my legal career.

“It has helped me develop the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills needed to progress as a solicitor.

“I have felt well supported throughout my training contract by colleagues and supervisors who have invested time in my development, especially my current Team Leader (Claire Hayton). The guidance and opportunities provided have played a significant role in helping me reach this milestone.

“I hope to continue to develop my expertise and take on greater responsibility.”
