“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Winns and hope to be here for many more years!”
Naveen Sandhu recently celebrated a decade here at Winn Group, receiving the acclaim that goes with it after making a significant impact in the Contested Litigation Department.
Formerly the Personal Injury Team, that section of the business has benefited immensely from the input of a Senior Solicitor who has featured in the Technical Team as a Team Leader, as well as being part of EL/PL, where he managed a team while handling his own caseload of higher-value claims.
More recently a Team Leader of a larger Serious and Technical and Injuries group, Naveen is now focusing on the significant value claims, an area of his role he has enjoyed particularly over the years.
Naveen, a Senior Solicitor in our Contested Litigation Department, said: “Over the past 10 years, I have had the opportunity to work in a variety of roles across the business.
“I have been fortunate to work alongside a great number of talented people over the years and have learned something from all of them.
“The firm has changed enormously during my time here, both in its size and the breadth of expertise across the business.”
Taking on new challenges has been a motivating aspect of Naveen’s time here, leading to different experiences in new teams.
That means, there is a good-sized list of people he’d like to thank for the help and support during his time at the organisation.
“In particular, I would like to thank David Dewar, Amy Graham and Catherine Walker, whose knowledge, support and guidance have been invaluable throughout my career at Winns,” he continued.
“I would also like to thank the Team Leaders and Managers I have worked with in Part 7, as well as the Serious Injuries Team I work with today – Andrea Turnbull, Andy Carruthers, Leanne Edgar, Chloe McCall, and Chelsey Carr.
“Their support, expertise and sense of humour make it a genuinely enjoyable team to be part of.”
David Dewar, Associate Director – Head of Contested Litigation, said: “Without question, Naveen is one of the most talented solicitors I have had the pleasure of working with during my career.
“He consistently goes above and beyond for his clients and, throughout his time at Winn Solicitors, has secured some truly exceptional results for those he represents.
“He is currently entrusted with some of the most seriously injured clients the firm has acted for in recent years. As one of only a small number of Law Society Personal Injury Panel members in the North East, his expertise and standing within the profession are clear recognition of the exceptionally high standards he maintains.
“Beyond his professional achievements, Naveen is a thoroughly decent person and an absolute pleasure to work with. He is respected not only for his technical ability but also for his willingness to support colleagues and lead by example.
“During his time leading the Serious Injury Team, he balanced management responsibilities with delivering outstanding outcomes for clients and set the standard for those around him.
“I will always be grateful for the way he rolled up his sleeves during the COVID period and helped the team work through the significant backlog of Phase 2 medical reports. That willingness to do whatever was needed, regardless of seniority, speaks volumes about his character.
“Reaching ten years with the firm is a fantastic achievement and one that is richly deserved. Congratulations, Naveen, and here's to the next 10 years.”
Amy Graham, Associate Director – Head of Personal Injury and Vehicle Damage Department, said: “Congratulations to Naveen on reaching 10 years with the firm.
“I've had the pleasure of working with Naveen throughout much of that journey, from our time together in the MOJ Portal team through to his progression into the Serious Injury team.
“He has consistently demonstrated his talent, commitment and ability to handle complex, high-value cases while delivering excellent outcomes for both his clients and the business.
“What has always stood out about Naveen is not just his ability as a solicitor, but the person he is. He is approachable, supportive, and always willing to help colleagues and management whenever needed. He is someone you can rely on, and he has earned the respect of everyone who has worked with him.
“It has been a privilege to work alongside Naveen for the past 10 years. He's an all-round great guy, and I look forward to continuing our working relationship over the next decade. Congratulations, Naveen, and thank you for everything you have contributed to the department and firm.”
