About NE6 and Beyond
Winn Group is dedicated to the delivery of a proactive Corporate Social Responsibility programme as part of our commitment to region’s communities.
A staunch supporter of the North East and proud of our roots, Winns encourages its staff to fundraise for good causes regularly as part of our NE6 and Beyond project.
A CSR committee drives our efforts, with guidance from a set of criteria that focuses on local youngsters living in either deprivation or suffering from life-affecting injuries or illness.
Having raised and/or donated tens of thousands of pounds over the year, our CSR programme continues to go from strength to strength, making a tangible difference in our local NE6 postcode and beyond.
Our CSR project at the heart of the community
NE6 and Beyond is the name of our ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility programme, dedicated to fundraising and donations that support good causes in the NE6 postcode and beyond.
As a business proudly rooted in Newcastle, we’re committed to giving back to the communities that contribute to our continued success. Representing our city on a national stage is a privilege, and with that comes a responsibility to make a positive local impact.
We recognise that the need for charities reflects the difficult challenges faced by many in our region. Through our multi-faceted CSR programme, we aim to ease those struggles by providing support, improving circumstances, and helping those who need it most.
Charity of the Year: The Rainbow Trust
Each year our employees vote for a charity of the year. In 2025, we are proud to support the Rainbow Trust, helping families with children facing life-threatening illness.

CSR Criteria
Winn Group has a list of CSR criteria points, set in agreement with our CSR representatives, that ensure our efforts and attention are focused on a specific demographic. Each time we receive a proposal or propose supporting a cause, we consider the following criteria:
Charity of the Year 2024/25:
The Rainbow Trust
Each financial year, Winn Group employees vote for a chosen charity of the year, a cause that will be the focus of our fundraising efforts.
During the current financial year, our chosen charity is the Rainbow Trust, an organisation that provides practical and emotional support to families who have a child with a life-threatening or terminal illness.
By hosting company-wide events or taking part in externally organised functions, Winns sets out to raise as much money as possible for the charity, helping it to continue its vital work supporting children and their families during an unimaginably difficult time.

Staff Take on the Hadrian’s Wall Challenge 2025
A team of dedicated Winn Group staff took on the Hadrian’s Wall Challenge in support of our chosen charity of the year, Rainbow Trust. Covering 26 miles along the iconic Roman wall, our colleagues showed incredible determination by completing the trek in under 12 hours. Thanks to their effort and commitment, an amazing total of £3,360 was raised. A huge well done to everyone who took part!
