Winn Group Apprenticeship start date: I started working at Winns in April 2019 and began the apprenticeship in the May.
My study and jobs before apprenticeship: I worked as a brand ambassador/counter artist for Bare Minerals after moving to Newcastle from West Cumbria in 2018.
I chose to do an apprenticeship because: I wanted to gain a new qualification that I could use throughout my career whilst also being able to work and earn to live independently.
I chose a Winn Group apprenticeship because: I was particularly interested in doing my apprenticeship at Winn Group as I have an interest in Law and being able to gain experience in a legal organisation was very appealing to me.
What I enjoy most about my Winn Group apprenticeship: Being able to learn not only about business throughout the duration of my course, but also the Court process in respect of personal injury claims.
The support I have received through my apprenticeship: My team leader has been supportive and helpful. She has helped with my assignments when I’ve needed it and been willing to explain processes of the organisation when I have asked.
Apprenticeship end date: Hopefully within the next month or two!
What I have to do in order to finish: We have to complete three assessments: an exam, a presentation based on a project that we have managed and an interview.
What would you like to do in the future: At the minute I don’t know exactly what my future will look like, but since working at Winns I would definitely like to further my career in the legal sector.
My top tip for anyone considering doing an apprenticeship: Manage your time effectively so that you are able to complete the work alongside working full-time.
