Maisey Charters is looking forward to supporting Apprentices in their first career steps at Winn Group after she was promoted to Team Leader in the File Closure Team (FCT).

Maisey has been with the company for three years, working diligently on a vital part of the claims process.

She admitted she was none the wiser about her promotion until she was told about it but is looking forward to getting her teeth into the new role.

She said: “The promotion came as such a surprise to me - I had no idea! I haven’t spent any time celebrating just yet, but we are going on a department night out in a couple of weeks so I’m looking forward to celebrating then.

“My new role will be predominantly managing the Apprentices in FCT and offering my support and guidance when necessary.

“As well as this, I have been working alongside Aileen (O’Brien, Closure Process Controller) assisting with the recruitment process for new members of the team.

“I hope to expand my knowledge even further and pass this on to the rest of the team.”

Maisey pointed to a range of reasons as to why she feels Winn Group is the ideal place to progress her career, including the training and development on offer and the team around her.

Maisey, who wanted to thank the whole Finance Department for their help and support, added: “I love the people I work with. They’re not just colleagues they are friends.

“The company also offers great benefits and the opportunity to progress in many ways. I have always been given necessary training and the opportunity to develop further as well as support on a daily basis.

“I love working in FCT, working very closely with Winns and On Hire Accounts. As a whole we support each other, which I believe has helped me to get this new opportunity.”

Aileen said: “Having joined the firm in 2019, Maisey’s attitude towards work has always been admirable. She has made such a difference in our team and Department and her can-do attitude and problem-solving skills are appreciated by all of us.
