Winn Group welcomes Christian Butler to the new role of Head of Family Law, as part of the company’s expansion into new sectors of law due to launch next year.

Christian has extensive family law experience, is recognised as a Rising Star in Family Law in the recent Legal 500 rankings and was named an individual “to watch” in the recent Chambers and Partners rankings.

Advising clients on all aspects of family and matrimonial law, Christian regularly acts for clients in disputes arising from divorce and separation involving complex assets, pensions and property portfolios, as well as advising in relation to children matters. His expertise extends to pre and post-nuptial agreements, emergency injunctions and protective orders, along with assisting unmarried couples to resolve their financial disputes. As Chair of the Young Resolution (YRES) Committee in the North East of England, Christian pursues non-confrontational approaches to divorce and family legal matters.

Clients praise Christian’s compassionate yet practical and professional approach noting his particular dedication to pursuing the best outcome. He also provides useful commentary on family law matters in the press, recently assisting with dilemmas such as how to navigate inheritance decisions with siblings and how to get a loan back from a child’s ex-partner.

Winn Group is also pleased to add that Christian brings with him his secretary, Sally Bentley, to aid the company expansion into family law.
