Winn Group is pleased to announce a new sponsorship deal with Tyneside golfer James Wilson.
His competition caps will be adorned with the Winn Group logo, putting our brand in the spotlight nationally and internationally.
Wilson, 24 years old, was born and raised in the local area, learning the sport as a junior out of Tyneside Golf Club, and these were key factors in our desire to support his flourishing career.
The recently-turned-professional Wilson is seeking to make inroads into the pro tour, but off the course he must contend with many additional costs that can be prohibitive.
Our input, aligning with our NE6 and Beyond approach to CSR commitments, will help Wilson show his talents without limitation.
The golfer was recently in action at Close House Golf Club, near Heddon on the Wall, at the LIV Golf International Series Event, making the cut after the first two rounds before ending the competition tied in 48th spot in a high-quality field of competitors.
He then went on to St Andrews in Scotland last weekend, finishing joint top after two rounds of the Asian Tour event held there, before finishing tied 8th overall.
