Career paths are as unique as they are varied. Here at Winn Group, we embrace that philosophy, offering a wide range of options to staff at different stages of their journey.
Lucy Donnelly is an outstanding example of this after our Group Contact Centre Infrastructure Engineer celebrated 10 years at Winns recently with champagne, flowers, and gift vouchers.
A secondment from her original role as Customer Service Manager, she moved into Telephony and enjoyed it so much she sought a role in our department, resulting in her current job.
This was driven by Lucy and a determination to take on new challenges, with Winns more than happy to offer career progression and a new environment to learn and develop.
This is one of numerous examples of our employees dictating their career paths here, not needing to leave to find challenges and job satisfaction.
Apprenticeships, training contracts, SQE contracts; there are many different avenues to go down to get that sense of achievement and fulfilment in your role at Winn Group.
Lucy said: “I’m proud of the progress I’ve made professionally and personally. What started as a new opportunity quickly became a place of growth, challenge, and meaningful relationships.
“I've had the privilege of working alongside many incredible people over the years, learning a great deal from them, and making some great friendships along the way.”
Clint Milnes, who was unavailable for the photo, managed Lucy in her role as CST Manager and said: “Lucy joined Winns as Customer Service Manager and grew the Customer Services Team into an integral part of the business, which greatly assisted (as it continues to do so now) all the legal departments, as we grew exponentially over the years.
“It is to Lucy’s credit that she sought to not only reinvent herself, but to challenge herself in new areas, setting herself new boundaries, such that she embarked on a change of direction, becoming, again, integral to the implementation of Puzzel across the business, which still remains one of the biggest and most smoothly run projects in my time.
“Lucy is deeply devoted to every task she carries out and really cares about her role in the business. We can only wonder what role Lucy will be in when we celebrate her 20 years, but, in the meantime, thanks very much, Lucy, for your 10 years of dedication and commitment to the business.”
Mark Howell, Group Head of IT Operations, said: “Since transitioning from CST Manager to IT, Lucy has truly embraced the technical side of her role.
“Her contributions have been instrumental in delivering two major, successful projects, Puzzel and Capturi, that have made a real impact on the business.
“Lucy’s enthusiasm for innovation and new technology continues to drive the department forward. Lucy is a pleasure to work with, and long may it continue. Congratulations on your 10-year anniversary!”
