Receptionist Lynn Hodkinson is celebrating ten years with Winns. She initially joined the firm in August 2006, as a receptionist in the Heaton Road office.
When Winns transitioned to bigger premises, she moved to the Brinkburn Street office. Here, she continued her receptionist duties, while also training new members of staff. As the company progressed, Lynn’s job role changed to Customer Service Advisor on the 1st October 2015.
On 18th July 2016, Lynn transferred over to On Medical to become part of their reception team.
We asked Lynn about her time with Winns so far:
“I joined Winns because I liked the idea of working for a local company. I’ve stayed due to the staff – I’m lucky to work with such nice people. There are also good opportunities to progress, or to get training for the job you’re in.
“The first day that we moved over to Brinkburn Street was a real memory for me – it felt so huge and it was different having everyone under one roof.
“My professional highlight was reaching the point where I’d trained 100 people, and also seeing someone who I trained as a receptionist qualify as a solicitor. There are also some who have gone on to become managers!
“I enjoy going to work at Winns each day, and the staff make it worthwhile, from the post team to the directors.”
