Winns Pack for Cash for Local Brain Injury Charity

Staff at Winns have been raising money for victims of brain injuries and their families.

Serious injury solicitor David Burn, associate director Jo Amos, and solicitor Holly Hughes took on a sponsored bag pack at Asda, Stanley on Saturday 13th August. They raised £274.15 for the charity Headway County Durham. Headway is the UK-wide charity that works to improve the lives of people who have suffered brain injuries, and help with rehabilitation.

As well as working as a solicitor here at Winns, David is also the Secretary at the charity's County Durham branch, assisting in the development, organisation and implementation of support services and information for brain injury survivors. The money raised in the bag pack will go towards helping the charity continue its efforts to support brain injury survivors in regaining some quality of life through a wide range of services.

David said: “I’m very passionate about my role at Headway County Durham and am always keen to help in any way possible. The sponsored bag pack was a great way of raising extra funds for such a deserving charity.

“Helping sufferers of brain injuries to regain quality of life while ensuring emotional stability is something I work tirelessly to achieve – both at Winns and Headway.”
