Paul Hewitson has been promoted to Head of our First Response Team.

Formerly Deputy Head of the department, Paul has moved into the role of department lead, with Chris Jones becoming Head of Claims Operations.

Well versed in the day-to-day operations in FRT, Paul has worked in the department for 15 years, across a range of roles – Claims Handler, FRT Team Leader, Assistant Manager, before his most recent role as Deputy Head.

Paul said: “I was incredibly proud and grateful to be given the opportunity. Having spent over 15 years at Winns, progressing through a number of roles within First Response, it was a real privilege to be appointed Head of First Response Team.

“FRT has played a huge part in my career, and I feel fortunate to work alongside so many talented and dedicated people who contribute to its success every day.

“I'm fortunate to inherit a fantastic team with strong leaders and talented colleagues, so my focus will be on building on the success we've achieved together and ensuring we continue to evolve as the business grows.

“As we continue to grow, I want us to focus on improving both client experience and operational efficiency.

“That means making it easier for clients and partners to do business with us, embracing technology and AI to enhance our service offering, and ensuring our people have the knowledge, skills and support needed to make the very best onboarding and risk assessment decisions.”
