Promotions for Frances and Courtney

Frances Briggs and Courtney Simm have both started a new phase of their career after their promotions within the Vehicle Damage Team at Winns.

As part of a quickly expanding department going through a large recruitment process, the pair have taken on additional roles of responsibility with their experience and knowledge of the process hugely important as they guide more junior colleagues just starting out in the department.

Already leading their own teams, Frances and Courtney are determined to help guide those around them as they get to grips with the processes and procedures in the VD Team.

Frances continued: “I’m looking forward to helping all the new staff settle in and hopefully make them enjoy the job as much as I do.”

Courtney said: “I’m looking forward to watching the Legal Assistants grow into Fee Earners. I think it will be really rewarding to see them from being in university to hopefully accepting a full-time role at Winns.”

When considering who they’d like to thank for their support and guidance, there were many dedicated staff deserving of a nod of appreciation.

Frances said: “I would like to thank Kerrie, who we lost suddenly in March. I wouldn’t have gone for this position if it wasn’t for her pushing me and teaching me that life is too short and not to hold back!

“The whole team is such a great bunch to work with and has pushed me to be where I am today. I have learned so much since joining the department and can’t wait to see where the next couple of years take us all!”

Courtney said: “I’d like to thank Simone Hepple-Hardy and Catherine Walker. I would never have had the confidence to apply for the Team Leader role if it wasn’t for their knowledge and push.

Deputy Head of Vehicle Damage Rebecca Colby said: “We are delighted to welcome Courtney and Frances to the Vehicle Damage management team after their promotions.

“As Vehicle Damage has continued to grow, they have provided invaluable support within their teams and their progression into team leader roles has been a natural evolution.

“Both Courtney and Frances have been successful fee earners and we look forward to seeing them bring their skill sets to their new roles managing the next tranche of fee earners within the department.”
