Medical Secretary, Customer Services Administrator, Training Assistant, Training and Process Officer, Group Process Analyst. Rachael Farrimond has done a lot in 10 years.

Her journey at Winns is a perfect example of the opportunities to develop, the varied paths that can be taken, and, ultimately, the feeling of staff that they’re evolving as professionals.

To be at a company for a decade is a great milestone to pass, with progression and skill development high up on Rachael’s list of reasons to remain at Winn Group.

The budding author, who has two stories published on Amazon Kindle and another in the pipeline, said: “There is always a sense that your ideas are listened to and there are opportunities to learn and develop new skills as you progress – how else would I be part of the IT Team right now?!

“And, of course, the people have helped me to maintain my time here. Every team I have been part of over the years has been full of supportive and talented people who are fun to be around and work with.

“Over the years, I have been lucky enough to be involved in quite a few different projects, such as being part of the team that helped On Medical achieve Tier 1 status with MedCo, working with apprentices to help them achieve their business admin qualifications, and more recently working on the ProMapp Project.

“They have all had different challenges and have led to opportunities I never expected in my career.

“There is a lot on the horizon, especially with the speed that Winns is expanding, together with the implementation of new technology that can help streamline a lot of our processes.

“There’s certainly enough to keep us all busy for a long time to come!”

“I wish I could say it had been longer. Every project, task, and meeting Rachael is involved in has been to the highest standards and leaves you wanting to know more.

“I hope we get to experience 10 more years of Rachael’s skills. Presenting in front of the management team can be daunting but she knocked it out of the park.”
