Triple Training Contract Success

The Winns team are congratulating Alex Hindson, Lee Kipling and Krista Watson, who have all recently accepted training contracts with the firm.

Lee joined Winns in 2012, while Krista and Alex have been with Winns for over a year. Prior to obtaining their training contracts, all three were working as Legal Clerks.

Lee, from Hull, initially worked in the Clerks Department, before joining the Litigation Team in December 2013. He will continue to work in the Litigation Team while completing his training contract. Prior to joining the firm, Lee studied International Law at Hull University.

Lee said;

“Working for Winns has given me the opportunity to gain practical experience as a Legal Clerk, that most solicitors in other firms would not have the chance to achieve. I have been privileged to have worked with some of the best solicitors and counsel in the PI industry. Winns are almost unique in that they only offer training contracts to in-house graduates and for these reasons I could not imagine qualifying anywhere else.”

Before joining Winns, Krista, from Cramlington, gained a first class honours degree in Law from Newcastle University. She then went on to complete her LPC, before joining the Clerks Department at Winn Solicitors. Alex, who is now also working in the Clerks Department, completed her Law degree at Liverpool John Moores University, and her LPC at Northumbria.

Alex said;

“I have really enjoyed my time at Winns so far, everyone is great to work with and I have learnt a lot in a short space of time. The firm offers amazing opportunities for progression and development at all levels.”

Krista added;

“I think it’s great that the training contract applications are internal. You are able to get a real feel for the firm before applying, and the firm can also assess your suitability for the role. I have gained a wealth of experience during my 12 months with Winns, which has assisted me in securing a training contract. The opportunities for progression within the firm are unparalleled. I look forward to the experience that I will gain throughout my training contract.”

Director and Head of Complex Claims Jo Amos, said;

“Congratulations to Krista, Lee and Alex on obtaining training contracts with Winns. All three are a great asset to the company and have proved that they have the drive and dedication to become accomplished solicitors.”
