Winns Continues to Support Gosforth Bohemian FC in New Season

At Winns, we love to support the communities that we serve, and a big part of our commitment to that cause is sponsoring our great local sports teams. Ambitious and driven to succeed by a positive attitude, our teams show the very best of what sports like football can offer to people in the area.

For these reasons and more, we're overjoyed to announce our continuing support for Gosforth Bohemian FC.

We've supported Gosforth Bohemian for six years now, and while fortunes on the pitch can change, what has never altered in that time is the club's commitment – a commitment to playing its best, providing a sporting family for its players, and throwing itself into charity and community initiatives that really make a difference.

On the pitch, we are confident that the upcoming year will be Gosforth Bohemian's best season yet. The 2017/2018 season saw strong, mid-table finishes across the board for the club's teams, but installing Simon Harris as first-team manager has already yielded strong results in training. The potential is there for the strongest Gosforth Bohemian team to date to take to the pitch next year.

Off the pitch, the Bohemians are even more impressive. Simon is also an FA Skills coach, and, after a successful week-long soccer camp ran earlier in the year, plans are underway for him to lead a summer soccer school. What's more, the club is looking to build the profile of women's football, and raised £5,000 last month for Shine Cancer Care North East as part of the 3rd annual Mushroom Cup at Benfield School.

With a strong presence in the region, ardent supporters both at matches and on social media, and an active interest in developing the grassroots game, Gosforth Bohemian FC is the perfect example of the type of club that we are proud to sponsor.

Here's hoping that the 2018/2019 season will see Gosforth Bohemian FC carry on their good work, on the pitch and in the region.
