Did you happen to see the big game this week? No, not the World Cup (although we know a lot of you will be glued to the action in Russia), we're talking about the first league game of the season for Winns FC!

Well, we're very pleased to say that Winns FC beat Jesmond FC by 3 goals to 2 to kick-start their campaign in the Newcastle University Summer Business Football League.

Goals were scored by Mark Pallas and Jordan Walsh, while Kurtis Dodds was named man of the match.

It's an excellent start to the season, and with the next game on Tuesday 26th June against Fawdon Park FC, we're hoping Winns FC's winning streak continues!
